Matthew Allen Geer, 21, of Brookville RR 8, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at Brookville RD.

Born July 2, 1980, in Erie, he was the son of Robert A. and Elizabeth Wolbert Geer.

He was a 1999 graduate of Brookville Area High School.

Mr. Geer served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2000 to 2001.

He worked for Plunkett-Webster of Brookville.

Mr. Geer had been active in the Brookville wrestling program and was a member of the Pennsylvania state championship team.

He is survived by his parents in Brookville; a sister, Mrs. Michael (Nikki M.) Fields of Brookville RR 8; a nephew, Austin Fields; two grandmothers, Jean Carroll of Sigel and Virginia Wolbert of Lucinda; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Geer was preceded in death by two grandfathers, William Carroll and James A. Wolbert.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in Clarion with the Rev. Joseph Staszewski officiating.
