Johnsonburg was ahead 30 - 25 going into the Hwt match. In the 2nd period, with Carnovale ahead 2 - 0, he was called for an illegal slam. Hendrickson could not continue and was awarded the match, giving Smethport the win. There was plenty of booing from the fans, but no protesting from the Burg coaching staff.
