(from Bucktail website) Harber Shocks Port Big Man Bucks 275 Pounder Pins Petteys, Bucks Still Fall 38-27 Farwell- Bucktail's wrestling team fell to 6-13 on the season with their 38-27 home loss to the visiting Gators of Port Allegany. Bucktail's Bob Houser got the Bucks on the board with a forfeit and Pat Tarantella would follow that up with a quick pin fall over Cody Smoker. Tarantella's fall would come at the 1:05 mark. The Bucks led 12-0. The Gators would come back. Dave Ross, who was wrestling his last match in the Bucktail Gymnasium, would fall to B.J. Greenman by way of major decision 13-2. Port Allegany would pull to with in 12-10 when the Gators' Chad Glascow would pin Bucktail's Matt Polaskey in 0:53. Lewis Windsor would give Port the lead when he would drop Rich Cole for a pin in 1:04. Jim Churchill would give Bucktail back the lead when he picked up a pinfall at 140. Bucktail's 18-16 lead would be short lived. Garrett Smith would major decision Dayl Flack at 145 to give Port Allegany the 21-18 lead heading into the 152 pound bout. Bucktail's Bryan James would get his team three team points with 7-4 victory over Steve Spees. Port Allegany would pick up six points at 160 thanks to a forfeit and would never trail again in the match. Adam Rohrer would pin the Bucks Dustin Newlen in 0:50 and Alan Lovell would receive a forfeit at 189 as the Gators now led 39-21. The 275 pound bout stole the show. Coming into the bout Port Allegany's Casey Petteys was 13-2 and currently ranked second in District 9. He was the heavy favorite against Bucktail freshman Will Harber. Petteys built a 5-0 lead going into the third period. Harber would catch Petteys in the third and score a shocking pin fall in 4:53. *Petteys would cost his team a point for throwing his head gear to make the final score 38-27 in favor of the Gators. Bucktail will close out their regular season schedule as they travel to Mansfield on Feb. 7.
